Our casino ranking, just below, is the place to start if you want to play this year’s new games: four offshore-licensed casinos whose deposit packages open at £20 or €20 and add 150 to 500 free spins spread across a series of deposits, each card giving the licence and the terms. The best of the 2026 releases come next: Hacksaw’s Epic Ze Zeus, whose 50,000x is the year’s largest published ceiling, and Max Win Machine publish every figure, and Pragmatic’s six new games all default to between 96.46% and 96.54%. Before the first spin, check the version: Max Win Machine’s lowest setting roughly doubles the average cost of 1,000 spins at 10p, from £3.78 to £7.80.

    Terms, licence and verdict

Player-friendly terms by offshore standards: 35x rather than the usual 40x, a €5 maximum bet, two weeks to clear, and free-spin winnings paid as cash. The arithmetic is still against the player: a €20 first deposit earns a €30 bonus that needs €1,050 of slot play, an expected cost of about €42 on a 96% game, so the match is worth less than nothing on average and the free spins are the only part with positive value. Licensed in Anjouan (ALSI-202601040-FI2), operated under the names BetPortal Gaming Ltd and Excite Ultra Media Ltd; not on the Gambling Commission register and not connected to GamStop.

A five-deposit package whose headline, €5,000, is reached only by depositing €1,000 five times. At the €20 minimum the first stage is a €20 bonus that needs €800 of play at 40x, an expected cost of about €32, so the match has negative value on average; the spins are capped at €100 of winnings per batch and expire within a day. Launched in 2025 under a Curaçao licence; not on the Gambling Commission register and not connected to GamStop. The maximum bet while a bonus is active is not published, which is a term worth asking support for before depositing.

Launched in 2026 and operated by PrimeTier Limited of Costa Rica, a brand with no track record yet. The package has the same shape as WinBeast: five deposits, 40x wagering, and at the £20 minimum a first-stage bonus that needs £800 of play. The 5x conversion cap limits what any stage can pay out. Not on the Gambling Commission register and not connected to GamStop; the lootbox and tournament promotions sit outside the welcome terms entirely.

    Terms, licence and verdict

A generous-looking first-deposit match with the least documented terms. A £20 deposit at 200% is a £40 bonus that needs £1,600 of play at 40x, an expected cost of about £64, so the headline generosity is the most expensive to clear. The maximum win, expiry and maximum bet are not published where a player can read them before depositing, and the Curaçao licence number could not be matched to a regulator entry. 12 titles announced from July to September 2026 are covered here; eight have a published RTP, while Play’n GO’s release list gives no figures for its four.

50,000x is the published maximum of Hacksaw’s Epic Ze Zeus (August 2026), twenty times the 2,500x of NetEnt’s Gonzo’s Quest from 2011.

96.46% to 96.54% is the spread of default RTPs across Pragmatic’s six new games; the first Big Bass Bonanza, from 2020, defaults to 96.71%.

£3.78 against £7.80 is the average cost of 1,000 spins at 10p on Max Win Machine’s 96.22% default and on its 92.20% version.

In a casino lobby “new” covers three different things: a game nobody has played before, a remake of a known title with bigger multipliers, and a fresh version of an existing game built for one market. This page picks out the strongest releases of summer and autumn 2026, shows where to play them, lists every figure their providers publish (leaving a gap wherever a provider publishes nothing), and then turns those figures into trend tables: how top prizes have grown since 2011, how default RTPs have drifted inside the longest-running series, and what each lower RTP version adds to the cost of play.

How RTP, volatility and the UK slot rules work for every game, new or old, is explained in the online slots UK guide. Figures here were checked against provider pages and press releases in October 2026; a release date means the date the provider announced the game.

Quick answer: the best new online slots of 2026 and where to play them

  • Where to play the new releases. The four casinos in the ranking at the top answer to regulators in Anjouan, Curaçao and Costa Rica, and each has a deposit welcome package from £20 or €20 that carries 35x to 40x wagering and hands out 150 to 500 spins in batches. New games reach lobbies at different speeds, so search for the title before paying in.
  • Best for knowing what you are playing: the two Hacksaw games. Epic Ze Zeus and Max Win Machine each publish an RTP ladder, a 5 out of 5 volatility rating and a ceiling, 50,000x and 10,000x respectively.
  • Highest default of the year: Gates of Olympus POP. At 96.54% it tops Pragmatic’s six new games, which sit within 0.08 of a point of one another, a difference worth 8p over 1,000 spins at 10p.
  • For fans of a series. Big Bass Vegas 1000 pays 15, 20 or 25 free spins per trigger, and Gates of Olympus 2500 lifts the multiplier ceiling to 2,500x.
  • Check the version first. Each step of about two points down a ladder adds roughly £2 to 1,000 spins at 10p, and the lowest Hacksaw and Blueprint versions cost about twice their defaults.
  • Know what the ranked casinos leave out. They sit outside British rules: no 2.5-second minimum, no £5 or £2 cap, no ban on bonus buys and no GamStop.

The newest slots with published figures, as of October 2026, came from two providers in August and September. Pragmatic Play announced six: Harvest Moon: Grave Profits, Eastern Fury, Gates of Olympus POP, Helios: Triple Sun, Big Bass Vegas 1000 and Gates of Olympus 2500. Hacksaw Gaming announced two, Max Win Machine and Epic Ze Zeus, both rated 5 out of 5 on the provider’s own volatility scale. Play’n GO’s releases from July to September include Reactoonz Blitzways, Moon Princess Extreme, Viking Runecraft 1000 and Infernal Trinity, although its release list gives no RTP or maximum win for any of them. Earlier in the year Blueprint Gaming listed Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Catch Gold Spins as a UK-only release.

Two things set this year’s games apart from the slots of ten years ago. Ceilings are higher: Epic Ze Zeus publishes a maximum of 50,000 times the stake, where Gonzo’s Quest offered 2,500x in 2011 and Book of Dead 5,000x in 2016. Remakes are common: half of Pragmatic’s six are new entries in its Big Bass and Gates of Olympus series, with multipliers or money symbols reaching 1,000x or 2,500x. A third thing, not new but easy to miss, decides what they cost: the RTP version. Both Hacksaw releases are published at 96.22% with alternatives near 94% and 92%, so depending on the version a casino picks, the same game can cost about twice as much to play on average in one lobby as in another.

What has not moved is the default return. Pragmatic’s six new defaults run from 96.46% to 96.54%. The nine 2026 defaults in the table below have a median of 96.50%, against 96.19% for seven older games released between 2011 and 2019; their averages, 96.28% and 96.47%, point the other way, because one low new game and one high old one pull them about. Either way the gap is a fraction of a point. The rules do not bend for novelty either. Every new slot offered by a licensed British site must take at least 2.5 seconds a spin, has no autoplay or turbo button, limits your stake to £5 a spin (£2 if you are 18 to 24) and comes without the bonus-buy option that some providers sell in other markets.

The practical answer, then, is to treat a new release like any other slot. Open its information screen before the first spin, compare the RTP shown there with the provider’s default in the tables on this page, and price an hour of play with the calculator further down. The novelty lies in the features and the size of the top prize, not in the return.

Play this if: the 2026 releases matched to what you want

Nine of this year’s releases come with a published default RTP, and each suits a different kind of player. The table pairs them with the aim they serve best, using only what the providers publish; Play’n GO’s four are left out because its release list gives no figures.

For somewhere to play them, the ranking near the top of the page is where four offshore casinos and their packages are compared. A new title can take time to appear in a given lobby, and libraries differ between casinos, so confirm the game is there before paying in. Once it loads, read the RTP on its information screen: on the Hacksaw and Blueprint games the version can double the price of a spin, and the figures above assume the default setting.

Every new slot of summer and autumn 2026, release by release

The table lists every 2026 release in our verified fact sheet, in the order the providers announced them. “Not published” means the provider’s page or press release gives no figure; it says nothing about whether the hidden figure is high or low. The RTP cell matters most, because the versions in brackets are lower-RTP builds that the provider also supplies and that a casino may choose to run instead of the default.

New online slots of 2026: Blueprint's UK-only Fishin' Frenzy game in January, Hacksaw's Max Win Machine and Epic Ze Zeus in August at 96.22%, and six Pragmatic Play releases from 13 August to 28 September at 96.46% to 96.54%.
Most of the year’s releases with published figures landed between early August and late September, and only the two Hacksaw games and Blueprint’s came with a ladder of RTP versions.

Two gaps run through the table. Only Hacksaw and Blueprint publish a ladder of RTP versions for their new games, and only Hacksaw publishes a volatility rating. For everything else the game’s own information screen, opened at the casino where you play, is the only place the version in use can be read.

Pragmatic Play: six games in under seven weeks

Pragmatic Play, headquartered in Gibraltar, says its games are certified or licensed in over 30 jurisdictions. Its six releases arrived between 13 August and 28 September, and their defaults cluster tightly: 96.46% for Helios: Triple Sun at the bottom, 96.54% for Gates of Olympus POP at the top. That gap of 0.08 of a point is worth 8p over 1,000 spins at 10p. None of the six has a published maximum win in the material we checked, unlike the provider’s remakes from 2023 to 2025, whose ceilings of 15,000x to 25,000x are published; for five of the six, Pragmatic publishes multipliers or money-symbol values instead.

Three of the six continue long-running series. Big Bass Vegas 1000 is the newest Big Bass game: it awards 15, 20 or 25 free spins for three, four or five scatters, where the first Big Bass Bonanza of December 2020 awarded 10, 15 or 20, and it adds red and blue fisherman wilds and money symbols worth up to 1,000x. The series’ history, from that first game to this one, is traced on the Big Bass slots page. Gates of Olympus 2500 keeps the 6×5 pays-anywhere grid of the 2021 original but lifts the multiplier ceiling to 2,500x, five times the original’s 500x, and lets a wheel choose between two free-spins modes. Gates of Olympus POP goes the other way, onto a smaller 3×5 grid with multipliers up to 1,000x and jackpot prizes of up to 25,000x.

The other three carry new names. Harvest Moon: Grave Profits is built around money-collect respins, a respin feature centred on collecting money symbols, with wild multipliers of up to 1,000x. Eastern Fury sets a 5×5 grid around expanding wilds that carry multipliers of 2x to 100x on the fifth reel. Helios: Triple Sun uses tumbles, in which winning symbols are removed and new ones fall into the gaps, and adds up to three modifiers. Pragmatic’s press releases mention bonus-buy options “in select markets”. Great Britain is not one of them, so a British player at a licensed site meets all six without a buy button. The rest of the provider’s catalogue, from the first Gates of Olympus to Sweet Bonanza 1000, is set out on the Pragmatic slots page.

Hacksaw Gaming: two games at the top of its volatility scale

For its games in our sheet, Hacksaw publishes both a volatility rating out of five and a list of RTP versions, which makes its two releases the easiest of the year to judge before playing. Max Win Machine, a payline game announced on 6 August, defaults to 96.22%, with alternatives at 94.28% and 92.20%, a 5/5 rating and a 10,000x maximum. Epic Ze Zeus, announced on 18 August, shares the 96.22% default, with versions at 94.16% and 92.35%, the same 5/5 rating and a maximum of 50,000x. That is the largest published ceiling of any 2026 game here, and in our fact sheets only NetEnt’s Dead or Alive 2, “up to 100,000x” in 2019, goes higher.

Against the same provider’s Wanted Dead or a Wild, whose release date is not in our sources, the new pair sits one notch higher on volatility (5/5 against 4/5) and 0.16 of a point lower on default RTP (96.22% against 96.38%). Their version lists are also shorter at the bottom: three versions with a floor near 92.2%, against four reaching down to 88.42%. In money, the lower default adds 16p to the average cost of 1,000 spins at 10p, £3.78 against £3.62.

What 5/5 means for a single session is not something Hacksaw publishes; it gives no hit rate and no bonus frequency. None of the model slots used on this site was built to a 5/5 game. The most volatile of the four, Model B, was built to match Book of Dead’s published RTP (96.21%), high volatility and 5,000x maximum, and in 400,000 simulated sessions of 100 spins at 10p it averaged £9.62 while half the sessions returned £5.88 or less; 1.5% reached £100. A game with a ceiling ten times Model B’s has room for a wider gap between the typical and the average session still, and how much wider cannot be worked out from what is published.

Play’n GO: four new names to check on screen

Play’n GO’s releases from July to September 2026 include Reactoonz Blitzways, Moon Princess Extreme, Viking Runecraft 1000 and Infernal Trinity, the last of which introduced a new mechanic of the provider’s own. The release list gives no RTP, volatility or maximum win for any of them, so they appear in none of the trend tables below. Viking Runecraft 1000 carries the same “1000” suffix that Pragmatic attaches to its higher-multiplier remakes; the list does not say whether it means the same thing.

The one older Play’n GO game in our fact sheet shows why the screen check matters. Book of Dead, announced on 14 January 2016, defaults to 96.21%, and the provider also supplies versions at 94.25%, 91.25%, 87.25% and about 84.2%. Over 1,000 spins at 10p that is an average cost of £3.79 at the default and £15.80 at the lowest version, more than four times as much. Whether the new titles come with a ladder like that, the release list does not say; the information screen does.

Blueprint: a UK-only Fishin’ Frenzy

Blueprint Gaming lists Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Catch Gold Spins as a UK-only release on a page dated 29 January 2026. It is a 10-line game with a 2,500x maximum and four RTP versions: 95% by default, then 93%, 92% and 90%. The original Fishin’ Frenzy, also a 10-line game, is published at 96.12% with versions at 94%, 93%, 92% and 90%.

The UK-only game shares the original’s 90% floor, but its default sits 1.12 points lower, which adds £1.12 to the average cost of 1,000 spins at 10p: £5.00 against £3.88. Its ceiling of 2,500x is a quarter of Max Win Machine’s and a twentieth of Epic Ze Zeus’s. Blueprint’s page does not explain why the game is limited to the UK.

Just before 2026: Big Bass Splash 1000

Announced on 8 December 2025, Big Bass Splash 1000 (96.52%, a 25,000x maximum, money symbols up to 1,000x) is still the newest Big Bass game with a published ceiling. The game it remakes, Big Bass Splash from June 2022, defaults to 96.71% with a 5,000x maximum, and Entain said that original was its top-performing online slot in the UK in 2025. Entain’s statement covers its own brands, not the whole market.

The three tables below use only figures that providers publish and that appear in our verified fact sheet; the note on the market after them uses the Gambling Commission’s statistics. The tables are not a census of every slot ever made: they cover the games whose figures could be checked, from NetEnt’s Gonzo’s Quest in 2011 to the releases of September 2026. Within that limit, the pattern is consistent. Ceilings have climbed, default returns have barely moved, and the RTP version, rather than the release date, is what separates the cost of one game from another.

1. Top prizes by release year: bigger ceilings, an old record

Every game in our fact sheet with both a release year and a published maximum win, in order of release. The maximum is the largest multiple of the stake a single game round can pay; at 10p a spin, 1,000x is £100.

Taking the highest published ceiling for each year in the table gives this line: 2,500x in 2011, 5,000x in 2016, 16,877x in 2018, 100,000x in 2019, then 2,100x in 2020, 4,000x in 2021, 10,000x in 2022, 15,000x in 2023, 25,000x in both 2024 and 2025, and 50,000x in 2026. The line is not smooth, and its biggest point is old: Dead or Alive 2 offered up to 100,000x seven years ago, twice the ceiling of any 2026 game. Very large top prizes are therefore not the new thing.

New online slots trend: the highest published top prize rose from 2,500x in 2011 to 50,000x in 2026, but the peak is still Dead or Alive 2's 100,000x from 2019, and the 2020 high was only 2,100x.
Ceilings have climbed generation by generation since the 2020 dip, yet the record in this sample is seven years old, so a giant top prize is not what makes a 2026 release new.

What is new is where they appear. Inside a single series the ceiling now steps up from one generation to the next. Big Bass went from 2,100x in 2020 to 4,000x, 5,000x, 10,000x, 20,000x and, in December 2025, 25,000x. The Gates of Olympus multiplier went from 500x in 2021 to 1,000x in 2023 and 2,500x in 2026. In all six Pragmatic games in our sheet whose names end in a number, that number is the largest multiplier or money-symbol value the game advertises: 1,000 for Gates of Olympus 1000, Sweet Bonanza 1000 and the three Big Bass 1000 games, 2,500 for Gates of Olympus 2500. The two releases in the table listed for particular markets point the other way: Light & Wonder’s 2025 Rainbow Riches, listed for the UK and EU, tops out at 520x, and Blueprint’s UK-only Fishin’ Frenzy game at 2,500x. At 10p, the recent releases in the table run from a £52 top prize to £5,000.

2. Default RTPs: new games pay back no more

If ceilings had risen because games paid back more, default RTPs would have risen too. They have not. The table follows three lines of related games, from the earliest entry in our sheet to the newest, with the average cost of 1,000 spins at 10p, which is £100 staked times the share the game keeps.

Series or providerEarliest default in our sheetMiddle periodNewest default (2025 to 2026)Cost of 1,000 spins at 10p, earliest to newest
Big Bass (Pragmatic)96.71%: Big Bass Bonanza (2020), Bigger Bass Bonanza and Christmas Big Bass Bonanza (2021), Big Bass Splash (2022)96.07%: five games, October 2022 to March 202496.51% to 96.53%: the three 1000 games£3.29, then £3.93, then £3.47 to £3.49
Gates of Olympus (Pragmatic)96.50% (2021)96.50%: Gates of Olympus 1000 (2023)96.54% (POP) and 96.51% (2500)£3.50, £3.50, then £3.46 and £3.49
Fishin’ Frenzy (Blueprint)96.12%: the original Fishin’ Frenzy (release date not published)–95%: The Big Catch Gold Spins£3.88, then £5.00

The Big Bass line is the only one in our figures that fell and then recovered. Every Big Bass game announced from October 2022 to March 2024 with a published RTP defaulted to 96.07%, 0.64 of a point below the 96.71% of the first games, and Big Bass Bonanza Megaways (96.70%, November 2021) sat with the originals. The dip added 64p to the average cost of 1,000 spins at 10p, £6.40 at £1, about a fifth more than the original default. The 1000 games moved most of the way back: at 96.51% to 96.53% they cost 44p to 46p less per 1,000 10p spins than the 96.07% games, and 18p to 20p more than the 2020 original.

Two lines simply moved down. Blueprint’s UK-only game defaults 1.12 points below the original Fishin’ Frenzy, and Hacksaw’s two 2026 games sit 0.16 of a point below its Wanted Dead or a Wild (96.38%), whose release date is not published. Across providers, the newest defaults lie within 0.32 of a point of one another, from 96.22% to 96.54%, with Blueprint’s 95% the outlier. For comparison, seven older games from 2011 to 2019 in our sheet have defaults from 95.97% (Gonzo’s Quest) to 98.00% (NetEnt’s low-volatility Blood Suckers, 2013), with a median of 96.19%; the 2026 median is 96.50%. On default RTP, a slot announced in 2026 is neither a clearly better nor a clearly worse deal than one from 2016.

3. What each step down a new release’s RTP ladder costs you

The figure that matters most for cost is not printed in any advert: the list of RTP versions a game ships with, and how far down it goes. These are the three 2026 games whose providers publish the full list. Cost per hour assumes 600 spins an hour, one every six seconds, which is a slower pace than the 2.5-second minimum allows.

GameRTP versionAverage cost of 1,000 spins at 10pExtra over the defaultAverage cost of 1,000 spins at £1Average cost of an hour at 10p (600 spins, assumed)
Max Win Machine96.22% (default)£3.78–£37.80£2.27
Max Win Machine94.28%£5.72+£1.94£57.20£3.43
Max Win Machine92.20%£7.80+£4.02£78.00£4.68
Epic Ze Zeus96.22% (default)£3.78–£37.80£2.27
Epic Ze Zeus94.16%£5.84+£2.06£58.40£3.50
Epic Ze Zeus92.35%£7.65+£3.87£76.50£4.59
The Big Catch Gold Spins95% (default)£5.00–£50.00£3.00
The Big Catch Gold Spins93%£7.00+£2.00£70.00£4.20
The Big Catch Gold Spins92%£8.00+£3.00£80.00£4.80
The Big Catch Gold Spins90%£10.00+£5.00£100.00£6.00

Each step of roughly two points adds about £2 to the average cost of 1,000 spins at 10p, or £20 at £1. On all three games the lowest published version costs about twice what the default does: 2.06 times on Max Win Machine, 2.02 times on Epic Ze Zeus and exactly twice on The Big Catch Gold Spins. Put another way, the house keeps 3.78p of every £1 staked on the default of either 2026 Hacksaw game and 7.80p on Max Win Machine’s lowest version. The title, the artwork and the advertised ceiling stay the same; only the version changes, and the lobby does not show which one is running.

Some ladders go deeper. Wanted Dead or a Wild’s 88.42% version costs 3.2 times its default, and Book of Dead’s lowest, about 84.2%, costs 4.2 times. The 2026 Hacksaw games stop near 92.2%, a shallower floor, while Blueprint’s new game starts its ladder lower. For a player at £1 a spin and an assumed 600 spins an hour, Max Win Machine’s default costs £22.68 an hour on average and its lowest version £46.80.

4. The British market the new slots join

The Gambling Commission’s quarterly figures describe the market these games are launched into. In January to March 2026, online slots in Great Britain produced 25.1 billion spins (up 7% on a year earlier) in 202 million sessions, and operators kept £773m in gross gambling yield (up 12%), which by our division is about 3.1p a spin. The average session lasted 15 minutes and 124 spins, against 136 spins a year earlier, and the share of sessions lasting more than an hour fell from 5.9% to 4.4%. The previous quarter, October to December 2025, set the dataset’s record of 25.7 billion spins.

One derived figure is worth noting. The Commission’s yield per session, £3.82 over 124 spins, comes to 3.08p a spin; a year earlier it was £4.01 over 136 spins, or 2.95p. Operators therefore kept about 4.5% more per spin. The statistics cannot say why: larger average stakes, lower RTP versions and a different mix of games would all show up in the same way, which is one more reason to read the version of each new game yourself rather than assume the default.

How UK rules protect you on a new slot

A new slot brings new artwork and new maths, but at a licensed British site it plays under exactly the rules that bind every other online slot, and none of them is relaxed for a launch. Each one changes something visible about how a new game behaves on a British screen:

RuleIn force sinceWhat it means for a new release
No autoplay, no spin faster than 2.5 seconds, no turbo, quick spin or slam stop31 October 2021A game can deal at most 1,440 spins an hour. At 10p, that hour would cost £5.44 on average on Epic Ze Zeus’s default and £11.02 on its 92.35% version.
No sounds or images suggesting a win when the return is equal to or below the stake31 October 2021A busy cascade that returns 8p on a 10p spin may not be dressed up as a win, however the game is animated elsewhere.
Net position and time played on screen31 October 2021Total losses or wins and the session’s length must be displayed while you play, so a new game cannot hide them behind its own effects.
Stake limit of £5 a game cycle (aged 25 and over) and £2 (aged 18 to 24)9 April 2025 and 21 May 2025Applies to online slots only, defined as reel-based games played online. Epic Ze Zeus’s 50,000x ceiling becomes at most £100,000 for an 18 to 24 year old and £250,000 for an older player.
No feature buy-insCommission warning of 17 January 2020The bonus round cannot be bought. One game had charged more than £3,000 to enter its bonus feature, and the six operators contacted removed the option. Pragmatic’s “select markets” buy options do not include Great Britain.
Age and identity verified before any play7 May 2019Trying a new release in demo mode at a licensed site needs a verified account, even though no money is at stake.
No reverse withdrawals31 October 2021Once you ask to withdraw, the site may not offer to cancel the request so that the money can go back into the latest game.

Two of these rules shape a new game’s numbers directly. The stake limit turns an abstract multiple into a pound figure with a hard upper end, so a 50,000x headline is a statement about £5 or £2 spins at most. The 2.5-second floor caps how fast the house edge can work: whatever the version, the most a 10p player can stake in an hour is £144. Demo play, the safest way to learn a new game’s rhythm, still requires the verification step; what a demo can and cannot teach is explained on the free slots no deposit page.

Some providers also list versions for particular markets. Blueprint’s Big Catch Gold Spins is listed as a UK-only release, and Light & Wonder lists its 2025 version of Rainbow Riches for the UK and EU, with RTP versions of 96%, 94%, 92%, 90% and 87%. A game built for Britain still comes in more than one version, so the information screen remains the deciding check.

Price an hour on a new slot before you play

Enter your stake, the number of spins you expect to play in an hour, the hours and the RTP shown in the game’s information screen. The calculator gives the spins played, the total staked, the average cost overall and per hour, the average kept per spin and the amount returned on average. It opens at 10p a spin, 600 spins in one hour (an assumed pace of one spin every six seconds) and 96.22%, the default of both Hacksaw releases of August 2026.

Change the RTP to 92.20 to see Max Win Machine’s lowest version, or the spins to 1,440 for the fastest pace the 2.5-second rule allows. The assumed pace is close to what the Commission’s figures imply: an average session of 124 spins in 15 minutes is about eight spins a minute, roughly 500 an hour. The result is an average. On a game rated 5/5 for volatility, individual sessions scatter much more widely around it than on a steady low-volatility game.

Playing new slots at UK-licensed brands

This section is for readers who want to try the year’s releases with a Gambling Commission licence behind them instead of an offshore one. A new game reaches you through a casino lobby, and two decisions about it belong to the casino rather than the provider: whether the game is offered at all, and which RTP version runs. No public list records either decision, so nothing here says that a named brand carries a particular new slot or a particular version. What the brand facts do tell you is who holds the licence, how offers are shared across a group and where a complaint goes, and that matters as much for a game launched last week as for one from 2011.

Groups with several brands behind one account

Entain runs Ladbrokes, Coral, Gala Casino, Gala Bingo, Foxy Bingo, PartyCasino, bwin, Sportingbet and Party Poker, with several brands behind one account structure, so one welcome offer per group is the norm. Entain is also the source of the only operator statement about slot popularity in our fact sheets. When it agreed on 25 November 2025 to bring the Big Bass series to more than 2,700 Ladbrokes and Coral shops, the first time the series went into a major operator’s retail estate, Entain said all the titles consistently rank in its top 20 games for those two brands, and that Big Bass Splash was its top-performing online slot in the UK in 2025. Those are Entain’s figures about its own brands, not a market chart.

evoke, the group formerly called 888, owns William Hill (in the group since 2022), 888 Casino, 777 Casino and 888sport; 888 Casino has been online since 1997 and spent a decade advertising no-deposit spins. Bally’s runs Virgin Games, Jackpotjoy, Monopoly Casino and Double Bubble Bingo on one platform built around bingo and casual games, where welcomes are typically “deposit £10, play with more” and existing players see frequent small promotions.

Casino-first and sportsbook-first

Within Flutter, Sky Vegas is the casino-first brand and the one most associated with no-deposit spins, while Paddy Power, Betfair and Sky Bet lead with sport and tie casino welcomes to a first deposit or stake as a rule. Kindred has the same split between 32Red, casino-first, and Unibet, a sportsbook with a casino attached. bet365 is a sportsbook first and a casino second, with deposit-based casino welcomes, and Betway runs sport and casino under one brand. For anyone interested in a new slot the split matters less than it once did: since 19 January 2026 no promotion may require two kinds of gambling, so spins on a new release cannot be made conditional on a bet, and any wagering on spin winnings is capped at 10 times.

Mobile-first, no-wagering and prize-wheel brands

LeoVegas built its group around mobile play, and BetMGM’s UK site has run on LeoVegas’s licence and platform since its 2023 launch, with Bet UK in the same group; a shared licence means a shared licence holder, which is the name enforcement and complaints run through. PlayOJO (SkillOnNet) and MrQ (Lindar Media) promise no wagering on any bonus, so whatever promotional spins win is paid as cash, though spin counts tend to be smaller. Amazon Slots, Dream Jackpot and Prime Casino, the Jumpman Gaming sites, offer a spin of a prize wheel on a first deposit, so their headline is the best outcome the wheel can produce rather than the usual one. A new slot’s published maximum is a headline of exactly that kind: Epic Ze Zeus’s 50,000x describes the ceiling, not a session.

High-street names, and checking any brand

Betfred, Grosvenor Casinos (Rank), Genting Casino and Admiral Casino (Novomatic) have shops and venues on British high streets, which makes them the easiest brands to verify and the slowest to disappear. The Commission publishes enforcement against the licence holder rather than the brand. In ascending order, the largest fines or settlements recorded for the groups above are bet365’s £582,120 (2024), Betfred’s £3.25m (2023), Kindred’s £7.1m (2023), 888’s £9.4m (2022), Betway’s £11.6m (2020), Entain’s £17m (2022) and William Hill’s £19.2m (2023). Other licensed brands such as Casumo, Videoslots, Mr Vegas, Slingo, Duelz and Magic Red print their licence holder and Commission account number in the site footer, and the public register confirms both in about a minute. Every one of these brands must verify you before play, belongs to GamStop, refuses credit cards, has no crypto in the cashier, and has applied the 10x wagering cap since 19 January 2026.

New slots at offshore casinos, our ranked four included

A new release played at one of our ranked casinos falls under this section too, because all four are licensed outside Great Britain. A new slot played at an offshore casino is not bound by any of the rules in the table above, so it can come with the things those rules remove: a buy button for the bonus round, automatic or faster spins and stakes above £5, often alongside deposits in cryptocurrency. None of those is available at a UK-licensed site. For the first three that is the purpose of the rules rather than a gap in them; crypto is left out in practice rather than by an outright ban.

Several offshore brands are marketed to British players. Mystake, Goldenbet, Rolletto, Donbet and Velobet are five brands run by one company, Santeda International B.V., under a Curaçao licence: they are not on the UK register, are not connected to GamStop and accept cryptocurrency, their wagering is uncapped, and the Commission cannot act on a complaint about them. Kinghills and NineWin belong to a network of sister sites run by Curaçao-registered companies; both launched recently, have no public track record and are marketed to British players through “not on GamStop” pages. Rainbet, run by RBGAMING N.V. on an Anjouan (Comoros) licence, is crypto-first, taking Bitcoin and other coins that the licensed sites carrying new releases do not offer. Roobet and Gamdom are Curaçao-licensed crypto casinos that grew out of the gaming-skins market. None of them holds a licence for Great Britain.

For new slots in particular, a British player at these sites gives up the protections in the rules table above: the £5 and £2 stake limits, the 2.5-second floor, the bans on autoplay and turbo, the on-screen net position and the warning against bonus buys. The money involved scales quickly. At an assumed 600 spins an hour on a 96.22% game, £5 a spin costs £113.40 an hour on average; £10 a spin, a stake no UK-licensed slot may accept, costs £226.80. Add the missing GamStop link, wagering with no 10x cap, no eight-week complaints process ending in an independent ADR provider, and no bank protection on a crypto deposit. Offering gambling in Great Britain without a Commission licence is an offence for the operator; the player is not prosecuted, but has none of these protections to fall back on.

Judge any new slot in five minutes

Five minutes with a game’s information screen and a little arithmetic tell you more than any launch trailer. The steps assume a UK-licensed site and an account that has already been verified. The screen checks work the same way at an offshore casino, the ranked ones included, but there no British rule stands behind what the screen shows.

  1. Minute one: read the RTP version. Open the game’s information or help screen and find the return to player. Compare it with the provider’s default in the tables above: 96.22% for both Hacksaw releases, 96.46% to 96.54% for Pragmatic’s six, 95% for Blueprint’s UK-only Fishin’ Frenzy game. A lower figure means a lower version, and each step of about two points adds about £2 to the average cost of 1,000 spins at 10p.
  2. Minute two: put the volatility next to the ceiling. A rating such as Hacksaw’s 5/5, or a description such as “highly volatile”, alongside a maximum of 10,000x or more tells you that a large part of the return sits in rare results. Long runs of small or empty spins are then part of the design, not a fault.
  3. Minute three: turn the ceiling into pounds, then put it aside. At 10p, 10,000x is £1,000 and 50,000x is £5,000. That is the upper limit of one round, not a guide to how a session ends, and no provider in our fact sheet publishes how often its top prize lands.
  4. Minute four: read how the bonus round starts, and look for a buy button. The paytable says what triggers the feature, for example 15, 20 or 25 free spins for three, four or five scatters on Big Bass Vegas 1000. A button selling the bonus round should not appear for a British player; if one does, check whose licence the site holds.
  5. Minute five: price the hour and set your limits. Stake × spins an hour × (1 − RTP) gives the average cost: at 20p and an assumed 600 spins an hour, £4.54 on a 96.22% version and £9.36 on a 92.20% one. Set a deposit limit, which new customers have been prompted for before a first deposit since 31 October 2025, and decide in advance at what net position, shown on screen throughout, you will stop.

Two figures from those five minutes do most of the work: the version, which sets the price of every spin, and the volatility, which sets how unevenly the price is collected. The ceiling is the least useful of the three, even though it is the one in the headline.

Myths about new slots that cost you money

  • “New slots pay more at launch to attract players.” The return belongs to the version, not to the calendar. The 2026 defaults in our tables run from 95% to 96.54%; Book of Dead’s default, from 2016, is 96.21%.
  • “A bigger maximum win means a better chance of winning big.” A ceiling says how large the top prize is, never how often it lands. At a similar RTP, a game that keeps more of its return for rare results has less left for ordinary ones.
  • “The RTP in a review is the RTP you get.” Max Win Machine is published at 96.22%, 94.28% and 92.20%. The version the casino chose is the one that applies, and only its information screen shows it.
  • “Buying the bonus is the efficient way to try a new game.” Licensed casinos do not offer feature buy-ins to British players; the Commission warned operators off them in January 2020, and a site selling one is working outside British rules.
  • “A new game that has not paid for a while is due.” Every spin is independent. A long dry run changes nothing about the next result, on a new game or an old one.
  • “UK-only means a better deal for UK players.” Blueprint’s UK-only Fishin’ Frenzy game defaults to 95%, 1.12 points below the original Fishin’ Frenzy’s 96.12%.

Trying new slots without overspending

New releases are designed to be noticed, and a 50,000x headline is designed to be remembered. Neither changes the arithmetic. On a 96.22% game every £1 staked loses 3.78p on average, and on a game rated 5/5 most of what comes back arrives in rare, large amounts, so long losing runs are built in rather than a sign that something is about to turn.

  • Watch the net position and the clock, which every UK-licensed slot must display during a session. At the 2.5-second minimum, 1,000 spins take 41 minutes and 40 seconds.
  • Try a new game at a low stake. The legal ceiling is £5 a spin from age 25 and £2 from 18 to 24, but the hourly cost falls with every penny you stay below it.
  • Take a time-out, which licensed sites provide, if a new game is holding your attention for longer than you planned.
  • Use GamStop to exclude yourself from every licensed online gambling site in Great Britain in one registration. It does not cover the offshore casinos in our ranking, so after registering, keep away from those as well.

How we worked out the numbers

Game figures come from the providers’ own pages and press releases, checked in October 2026 and kept in our fact sheet. Release dates are the dates the providers announced the games; defaults and lower versions are as published; “not published” means the source gives no figure, and we have not filled one in. Volatility is quoted only in the provider’s own words or rating. The trend tables include every game in the sheet that has the figure each table needs, which makes them a sample of verified games rather than the whole market.

Costs use one formula, stake × spins × (1 − RTP). For 1,000 spins at 10p that is £100 × (1 − RTP), so a 96.22% version costs £3.78 on average. Hourly costs assume 600 spins an hour wherever that is stated; 1,440 an hour is the most the 2.5-second rule allows. Top prizes in pounds are the published multiple times the stake.

Market figures are the Gambling Commission’s quarterly online slots statistics for January to March 2026 (published 21 May 2026) and October to December 2025 (published February 2026). The 3.08p and 2.95p per spin are our division of the Commission’s yield per session by its spins per session. The simulation figures on the page come from Model B, a model slot built to match Book of Dead’s published RTP, volatility class and maximum win, run over 400,000 sessions of 100 spins at 10p. It illustrates high volatility in general and is not a model of any 2026 game, whose pay tables are not public.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I play new online slots in the UK?

Our ranking, placed just under the page heading, shows four casinos whose deposit welcome packages need £20 or €20, ask for 35x to 40x wagering and release between 150 and 500 free spins over time. Their licences are offshore rather than from the Gambling Commission, so the British slot rules and GamStop do not cover them. New titles reach lobbies at different times, so search for the game first, and note which RTP version its information screen shows before you stake.

Which new slots of 2026 are the best?

On published figures, Hacksaw’s Epic Ze Zeus and Max Win Machine are the most transparent: both default to 96.22%, publish their lower versions and carry Hacksaw’s top volatility rating, 5 out of 5, with ceilings of 50,000x and 10,000x. Among Pragmatic’s six, Gates of Olympus POP has the highest default at 96.54%. Blueprint’s UK-only Fishin’ Frenzy game starts lowest, at 95%.

What are the newest online slots in the UK?

In our verified list the most recent are Pragmatic Play’s Gates of Olympus 2500 (announced 28 September 2026), Big Bass Vegas 1000 (24 September) and Helios: Triple Sun (14 September), with Gates of Olympus POP, Eastern Fury and Harvest Moon: Grave Profits in August. Hacksaw released Max Win Machine and Epic Ze Zeus in August, and Play’n GO’s July to September list includes Reactoonz Blitzways, Moon Princess Extreme, Viking Runecraft 1000 and Infernal Trinity.

Do new slots have a higher RTP than older ones?

Not in any meaningful way. The nine 2026 defaults with published figures range from 95% to 96.54%, with a median of 96.50%, against 96.19% for seven older games released between 2011 and 2019, a gap of a fraction of a point. Several new games also come in lower versions, such as 92.20% for Max Win Machine.

Why do new slots have such big maximum wins?

Series now raise the ceiling from one generation to the next: Big Bass went from 2,100x in 2020 to 25,000x in December 2025, and Epic Ze Zeus publishes 50,000x. Default RTPs have not risen with the ceilings, so at a similar return more of the money a game pays back sits in rare results.

How do I find out which RTP version of a new slot a casino uses?

Open the game’s information or help screen at that casino before you play and read the RTP. Compare it with the provider’s default: Epic Ze Zeus, for example, defaults to 96.22% but is also supplied at 94.16% and 92.35%.

What does a 5/5 volatility rating mean?

It is Hacksaw’s own scale, and Max Win Machine and Epic Ze Zeus both sit at the top of it. Hacksaw publishes no hit rate or bonus frequency, but the top rating signals results spread very widely: long runs of small or no wins, with much of the return concentrated in rare large ones.

What is a UK-only slot release?

A game a provider lists for the British market alone. Blueprint lists Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Catch Gold Spins this way on a page dated 29 January 2026; it defaults to 95%, with versions at 93%, 92% and 90%, and a 2,500x maximum. UK-only does not mean a higher RTP: the original Fishin’ Frenzy defaults to 96.12%.

How much does an hour on a new slot cost?

Multiply the stake, the spins and the share the game keeps. At 10p and an assumed 600 spins an hour, Max Win Machine costs £2.27 an hour on average at 96.22% and £4.68 at 92.20%; at £1 a spin the figures are £22.68 and £46.80.

Can I play new slots in demo mode without ID?

Not at a UK-licensed site. Since 7 May 2019 age and identity must be verified before any gambling, including free-to-play demo games, so trying a new release in demo mode needs a verified account.
