Slots Sign Up Bonus UK: Welcome Packages Compared on Match, Spins, Wagering and Max Bet (October 2026)
- Updated October 2026
- Licence status shown for every offer
- 18+
The ranking below lines up four casinos’ slot welcome packages: deposit offers that start at £20 or €20 and spread 150 to 500 free spins over several deposits; the card for each sets out the spins, the wagering and any matched money. All four are licensed offshore and ask 35x to 40x, where a UK-licensed casino may set no more than 10x, so the multiple is the first line to compare. It decides more than any other term: when a £20 match was played out on a model slot, 42.6% of sessions finished 10x wagering, but only 15.1% finished 35x.

Lower wagering than most at 35x, a €5 maximum bet, and free-spin winnings paid as cash.
Terms, licence and verdict
Player-friendly terms by offshore standards: 35x rather than the usual 40x, a €5 maximum bet, two weeks to clear, and free-spin winnings paid as cash. The arithmetic is still against the player: a €20 first deposit earns a €30 bonus that needs €1,050 of slot play, an expected cost of about €42 on a 96% game, so the match is worth less than nothing on average and the free spins are the only part with positive value. Licensed in Anjouan (ALSI-202601040-FI2), operated under the names BetPortal Gaming Ltd and Excite Ultra Media Ltd; not on the Gambling Commission register and not connected to GamStop.

Terms, licence and verdict
A five-deposit package whose headline, €5,000, is reached only by depositing €1,000 five times. At the €20 minimum the first stage is a €20 bonus that needs €800 of play at 40x, an expected cost of about €32, so the match has negative value on average; the spins are capped at €100 of winnings per batch and expire within a day. Launched in 2025 under a Curaçao licence; not on the Gambling Commission register and not connected to GamStop. The maximum bet while a bonus is active is not published, which is a term worth asking support for before depositing.

Launched in 2026 and operated by PrimeTier Limited of Costa Rica, a brand with no track record yet. The package has the same shape as WinBeast: five deposits, 40x wagering, and at the £20 minimum a first-stage bonus that needs £800 of play. The 5x conversion cap limits what any stage can pay out. Not on the Gambling Commission register and not connected to GamStop; the lootbox and tournament promotions sit outside the welcome terms entirely.

A generous-looking first-deposit match with the least documented terms. A £20 deposit at 200% is a £40 bonus that needs £1,600 of play at 40x, an expected cost of about £64, so the headline generosity is the most expensive to clear. The maximum win, expiry and maximum bet are not published where a player can read them before depositing, and the Curaçao licence number could not be matched to a regulator entry. Key numbers for a £20 deposit, 100% match and 50 spins. £14.88 is the package’s value at 10x if both parts are played through in full, or £16.80 when the spins carry no wagering. 42.6% of simulated sessions finished the match’s 10x requirement (Model A, 20p a spin) and 57.4% lost the £40 balance first. 40% is the game weighting below which the same match turns negative on paper. 1 h 23 min is the shortest time in which £200 of wagering can be cleared at 10p a spin under the 2.5-second rule; at £2 a spin it is 4 min 10 s.
Two numbers decide what a slots welcome pays: the bonus, and the cost of wagering it, wagering being how much you have to bet before bonus funds become withdrawable. The banner shows the first. The second hangs on details the banner leaves out: which slots count towards the requirement and at what rate, which RTP version of the named slot the casino runs, and how much you may stake while the bonus is live.
This page starts with the packages in the ranking and the lines to compare on each card. It then values one common package with the formula, shows what happened to it when it was played out in simulation, and gives each of those details its own table. For every other kind of deposit offer, start with the casino welcome bonus guide.
Quick answer: choosing a slots sign up bonus
- Compare the packages in the ranking. Four casinos make up the ranking in October 2026, every one offering a deposit package from £20 or €20 with 150 to 500 free spins released over several deposits; each card sets out the spin batches, the wagering and any matched money. Their licensing authorities are in Anjouan, Curaçao and Costa Rica; none is the Gambling Commission.
- Wagering decides the value. Every 1x of wagering on a 96% slot eats 4% of the bonus on average, so 10x uses up 40% of it and 35x uses up 140%. The ranked packages ask 35x to 40x; a UK-licensed casino may ask 10x at most.
- Value the spins by stake, not by count. Fifty 10p spins are worth £4.80 on average at 96%, and fifty 20p spins £9.60. Where spins arrive in batches, only the deposits you actually make unlock them.
- Find the maximum bet, then stake small. Breaking the bonus maximum can cost the bonus and its winnings, and small stakes finish more often: a £20 balance with £200 to wager got through 22.1% of the time at 10p, against 10.0% at £1.
- Read the RTP of the slot you clear it on. At 10x the benchmark package is worth £15.41 on Book of Dead’s 96.21% default and −£6.70 on its 87.25% version.
- Know the catch before you deposit. At 35x to 40x, between 13.4% and 15.1% of simulated £20 matches were finished, and offshore you lose the 10x cap, GamStop and any British route for a complaint. Treat the deposit as money spent on play.
At a casino licensed by the Gambling Commission a slots sign up bonus comes in one of three shapes:
- A match with spins. The first deposit is matched in bonus funds, usually at 100% and sometimes at 200%, and a batch of spins on a named slot is added. The two parts carry separate terms and are best valued separately.
- Spins for a deposit. A deposit unlocks spins and nothing else. When the spins carry no wagering, whatever they win is cash.
- Spins with no deposit. Usually 5 to 20 spins for opening and verifying an account, sometimes up to 50. Offers of 100 spins or more usually need a deposit and often arrive in daily batches.
All three sit inside the same rules. Wagering cannot exceed 10 times the bonus. No promotion may require two kinds of gambling, so a casino welcome cannot depend on a bet on football. Age and identity must be checked before any play, every new customer is prompted to set a deposit limit before paying in, credit cards are banned, and online slot stakes stop at £5 a spin once you are 25 and £2 a spin between 18 and 24.
In practice the search usually ends at a deposit offer. The free version at a licensed site is the spins-only kind, and it is small: ten spins at 10p average 96p. Promotional spins are also a different thing from the free-spins round built into many slots, a confusion the guide to slots free spins untangles. Offshore sites advertise bigger slots welcomes, often matches of 300% or 400%, with wagering of 30x to 60x and none of the protections above; the casinos in our ranking are offshore too, with 35x to 40x on their packages, and the arithmetic of those multiples is set out further down.
What to compare on each slot welcome package
Every package in the ranking is built from the same parts: a qualifying deposit, free spins with or without matched money, a wagering multiple and a set of rules about stakes and games. Comparing two of them comes down to the lines below, priced with this page’s benchmark of a £20 deposit, a 100% match and 50 spins at 10p on a 96% slot.
| Check | Where to find it | Why it matters for a slots welcome |
|---|---|---|
| Wagering multiple, and what it counts | The card first, then the full terms | At 10x a £20 match keeps £12.00 of value; at 35x it is −£8.00 and at 40x −£12.00. On a 100% match, a multiple charged on deposit plus bonus doubles the stakes needed. |
| Size of the match | The offer card | The match carries £12.00 of the package’s £14.88 at 10x, but at 35x or 40x a bigger bonus only enlarges what clearing it is expected to cost. |
| Spins: stake per spin and batches | The card and the spin terms | Value follows the stake: 50 spins are worth £4.80 at 10p and £9.60 at 20p. A count spread over several deposits needs every one of them. |
| Wagering on spin winnings | The spin terms | With none, 50 spins left a median of £3.10; at 10x, 87.9% of sessions lost the winnings before finishing. |
| Maximum stake allowed during the bonus | The bonus terms | With no British stake cap offshore, this figure may be the only limit on each spin. Smaller stakes finish more often: 22.1% at 10p against 10.0% at £1 on £200 of wagering. |
| Games that count, and at what rate | The weighting list in the terms | Below 40% a 10x match on £20 costs more to clear than it is worth; at 20% it takes close to seven hours at 10p. |
| RTP version of the slot you play | The game’s information screen | Book of Dead’s versions move the package from £15.41 to −£6.70 at 10x, a swing of £22.11. |
| Win cap and minimum withdrawal | The terms | A £5 cap takes 32% of the spins’ average; a £10 minimum can strand the typical £3.10. |
Sort the cards by wagering first, then by how much of each package comes as spins with light or no wagering, then by the maximum bet. At 35x to 40x a package is best treated as paid play with a small chance of a withdrawal rather than as money: at 40x, 13.4% of simulated £20 matches were finished.
What a typical slots package is worth: £20, a 100% match and 50 spins
Take a common shape: deposit £20, receive a 100% match, so £20 of bonus funds, plus 50 spins at 10p, with 10x wagering on the bonus and on whatever the spins win. Leave the deposit out of the sum, since it was yours before the offer. Each part goes through the same formula:
E = B × (1 − W × (1 − RTP))
For the match, B is the £20 bonus. For the spins it is their average winnings, 50 × 10p × 96% = £4.80. W is the multiple, 10 here, and RTP is the slot’s return to player: on a 96% game each pound wagered costs 4p on average, so ten play-throughs eat 40% of B and leave 60%. The answer tells you what the offer is worth when every pound of the requirement is actually staked, which makes it the yardstick for comparing one offer with another.
| Part of the offer | B | Play-through | Expected cost at 96% | Value |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100% match on £20, 10x | £20.00 | £200 | £8.00 | £12.00 |
| 50 spins at 10p, winnings at 10x | £4.80 | £48 | £1.92 | £2.88 |
| 50 spins at 10p, no wagering | £4.80 | None | £0.00 | £4.80 |
| 50 spins at 20p, winnings at 10x | £9.60 | £96 | £3.84 | £5.76 |
| 50 spins at 20p, no wagering | £9.60 | None | £0.00 | £9.60 |
Adding the parts gives the package in its four common versions:
| Package on a £20 deposit | Match at 10x | Spins | Package value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Match + 50 spins at 10p, spins wagered 10x | £12.00 | £2.88 | £14.88 |
| Match + 50 spins at 10p, no wagering on spins | £12.00 | £4.80 | £16.80 |
| Match + 50 spins at 20p, spins wagered 10x | £12.00 | £5.76 | £17.76 |
| Match + 50 spins at 20p, no wagering on spins | £12.00 | £9.60 | £21.60 |
The match carries most of the value in every version, £12.00 of the £14.88 in the first row. Spin value moves in step with the spin stake, so 20p spins are worth twice 10p ones, and dropping the wagering from the spins adds £1.92 at 10p. Scaled the same way at 10x on a 96% slot, a £10 deposit with 20 spins comes to £7.15 and a £50 deposit with 100 spins to £35.76. How the match behaves on its own at £10, £20 and £50 is covered on the 100% deposit bonus page.
At higher multiples the same package turns negative on paper: −£9.92 at 35x, a multiple seen at UK sites before the January 2026 cap, and −£14.88 at 40x, both common offshore. The 40x figure is the 10x one with its sign flipped, because 40 play-throughs at 4p cost £1.60 per pound of bonus, while 10 cost 40p.
How many players finish the wagering: the package in simulation
The formula assumes the whole requirement gets staked. Real sessions stop when the balance runs out, which moves the average away from the formula and, more usefully, exposes how unevenly the results fall. Each part of the package was simulated on Model A, a model slot with a 96% RTP and medium volatility: a little over a quarter of its spins (27.9%) return something, the bonus round triggers about once every 170 spins, and the biggest single payout is 2,500x the stake. It stands in for a typical slot; it does not reproduce any real one.
The match: £20 deposit, £20 bonus
Deposit and bonus were played as one £40 balance at 20p a spin until the requirement had been staked or the balance fell below 20p, with nothing withdrawable before the end, which is how a sticky match works. Each row is 20,000 sessions:
| Wagering on the £20 bonus | Value if played in full | Finished | Cash at the end (average) | Net of the £20 (average) | Ended above £20 | Ended with £40 or more |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10x (the UK cap) | £12.00 | 42.6% | £34.08 | £14.08 | 32.2% | 22.3% |
| 35x (seen before 2026, offshore now) | −£8.00 | 15.1% | £29.89 | £9.89 | 14.2% | 13.0% |
| 40x (offshore) | −£12.00 | 13.4% | £28.43 | £8.43 | 12.5% | 11.4% |
At the UK cap, 42.6% of sessions finished and 57.4% ran dry first, losing the deposit along with the bonus; the median was £0. The average cash of £34.08 sits a little above the £32 the formula implies, the £20 deposit plus £12, because sessions that go broke stop paying the cost of wagering when they stop playing. Finishers held about £80 each on average, yet finishing is not the same as winning: 10.4% of all sessions completed the requirement with £20 or less, so one finisher in four came out level or behind. About a third of sessions, 32.2%, ended above the £20 paid in, and 22.3% ended with £40 or more.
The 35x row shows what the cap changed. Under 35x, a multiple seen at UK sites before 19 January 2026, the finish rate falls to 15.1% and the share of sessions ending ahead to 14.2%. Capping wagering at 10x did more than lower a paper cost: it more than doubled a new player’s chance of ending a sign-up session ahead.
The spins: 50 at 10p
The 50 spins were simulated separately: 400,000 sessions with no wagering, and 100,000 per row with the winnings played through at the multiple and stake shown:
| 50 spins at 10p, Model A | No wagering | 10x, cleared at 10p | 10x, cleared at 50p | 35x, cleared at 10p |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Finished the wagering | No requirement | 12.1% | 6.8% | 4.5% |
| Average cash | £4.78 | £3.81 | £4.02 | £3.25 |
| Median | £3.10 | £0.00 | £0.00 | £0.00 |
| £5 or more | 23.7% | 9.0% | 5.7% | 4.2% |
| £10 or more | 5.9% | 6.9% | 4.6% | 3.8% |
| £20 or more | 2.1% | 4.5% | 3.2% | 3.0% |
With no wagering, every session paid something (the share winning nothing at all rounded to 0.0%), half paid at least £3.10, and the chance of at least one bonus round in 50 spins on this model was 25.5%. Ten-times wagering turns the same spins into a long shot: 87.9% of sessions lost the winnings before finishing, so the median dropped to £0, while the average fell by less than a pound because a few play-throughs hit a bonus round and finished with a large balance. That is also why 6.9% of wagered sessions ended with £10 or more against 5.9% without wagering. Wagering spreads results out; it does not improve them.
The package together
Treating the two parts as separate balances, as the simulations do, the averages add: £14.08 + £3.81 = £17.89 with the spins wagered, and £14.08 + £4.78 = £18.86 without, against £14.88 and £16.80 on the formula. The typical player does far worse than either average. If the two parts run independently, the chance that both end with nothing is 57.4% × 87.9%, about 50%. With wagering-free spins that chance all but disappears, because the spins almost always leave something, if only a few pounds, even when the match is lost.
What it means if you claim one
Out of ten players taking the package at 10x, the simulation points to about six losing the deposit through the match, three ending the match ahead and two of those with £40 or more, and around one getting the spins’ winnings through their wagering. The value is positive on average, which is what the 10x cap delivers, but it arrives as a minority of good outcomes, not as £14.88 for everyone.
Which games to clear it on: weighting and time
Weighting, also called contribution, is the share of each stake that counts towards the requirement. Slots usually count 100%. The reason is the house edge, the slice of every stake a game keeps on average, which is what gives a play-through its cost; games that keep less would let a bonus be cleared more cheaply, so terms often count them at a fraction or not at all, and they can do the same to individual slots.
Whatever the reason, a weighting below 100% multiplies both the stakes needed and, at the same RTP, the cost of placing them. For the £200 requirement on the £20 match, on a game returning 96%, with times at the 2.5-second minimum spin:
| Weighting | Stakes needed | Expected cost | Match value | Spins at 10p | Time at 10p | Spins at £1 | Time at £1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100% | £200 | £8.00 | £12.00 | 2,000 | 1 h 23 min | 200 | 8 min 20 s |
| 50% | £400 | £16.00 | £4.00 | 4,000 | 2 h 47 min | 400 | 16 min 40 s |
| 40% (break-even) | £500 | £20.00 | £0.00 | 5,000 | 3 h 28 min | 500 | 20 min 50 s |
| 25% | £800 | £32.00 | −£12.00 | 8,000 | 5 h 33 min | 800 | 33 min 20 s |
| 20% | £1,000 | £40.00 | −£20.00 | 10,000 | 6 h 57 min | 1,000 | 41 min 40 s |
| 10% | £2,000 | £80.00 | −£60.00 | 20,000 | 13 h 53 min | 2,000 | 1 h 23 min |
| 0% | Never cleared | – | – | – | – | – | – |
The break-even weighting is 40%. At that rate £500 of stakes carries £20 of expected cost, the whole bonus, so anything counted below 40% makes the match worth less than its play-through costs before the RTP version even enters the picture. Hour-plus times are rounded to the nearest minute and assume unbroken spinning.
The time columns matter as much as the money for most people. At 100% and 10p, clearing the match takes an evening; at 20% it takes close to seven hours of spins, each one started by hand, because UK-licensed slots have offered no autoplay since 31 October 2021. Before you choose a game to clear a bonus on, find its row in the weighting list. A game listed at 0% never moves the total, however much you stake on it.
The maximum bet: which stake limit applies to you
Two ceilings apply to every spin while a slots bonus is live. The law sets the first for all online slot play at licensed casinos: £5 a spin for players aged 25 and over since 9 April 2025, and £2 a spin for those aged 18 to 24 since 21 May 2025. The bonus terms can set a second, lower maximum bet of their own. The lower figure is the one that binds, and breaking a bonus maximum can cost the bonus and what it has won, so it pays to know which one applies before the first spin. The rows below are illustrations, not any casino’s terms:
| Player and bonus terms | Legal limit | Bonus maximum | Stake that binds | Spins to clear £200 | Fastest time |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aged 25 or over, terms allow £5 | £5 | £5 | £5 | 40 | 1 min 40 s |
| Aged 25 or over, terms cap at £2 | £5 | £2 | £2 | 100 | 4 min 10 s |
| Aged 18 to 24, terms allow £5 | £2 | £5 | £2 | 100 | 4 min 10 s |
| Any age, terms cap at £1 | £5 or £2 | £1 | £1 | 200 | 8 min 20 s |
| Any age, choosing 20p | £5 or £2 | Any | 20p | 1,000 | 41 min 40 s |
| Any age, choosing 10p | £5 or £2 | Any | 10p | 2,000 | 1 h 23 min |
Free spins sit outside both ceilings. Their stake is fixed by the casino, usually at 10p, so a 19-year-old’s 50 spins average the same £4.80 as anyone else’s. The ceilings start to matter once spin winnings carry wagering, because every spin played to clear them is an ordinary stake.
Stake size does not change the average cost of a requirement, which stays at 4p per pound staked at 96% RTP whatever the stake. It does change the odds of getting through it. In the Model A simulations, 50 spins’ winnings played through 10x finished 12.1% of the time at 10p and 6.8% at 50p, and a £20 balance with £200 to wager finished 22.1% of the time at 10p, 12.1% at 50p and 10.0% at £1. Small stakes give a balance more spins in which to absorb a losing run: clearing £200 at 10p means 2,000 spins, room for about a dozen bonus rounds on Model A, while 40 spins at £5 give a 21.0% chance of seeing even one. On the £40 balance of a matched £20 deposit, a £5 stake leaves room for just eight losing spins in a row.
Pick the right slot version: what the RTP does to your bonus
Spins come tied to one named slot, and match funds can be limited to slots in general or to a list of them. Within those limits the same game can run at different RTPs. Book of Dead, from Play’n GO, has a default RTP of 96.21%, and the provider also supplies versions at 94.25%, 91.25%, 87.25% and about 84.2%. Big Bass Bonanza, from Pragmatic Play, defaults to 96.71%, with lower versions around 95.67% and 94.6%. Because every pound of the requirement pays the house edge again, the version decides what the whole package is worth. Assuming the match and the spin winnings are both cleared on the same version:
| Slot and RTP version | Cost of £200 of play | Match at 10x | 50 spins, average | 50 spins at 10x | Package at 10x |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Any slot at 96% (the page’s benchmark) | £8.00 | £12.00 | £4.80 | £2.88 | £14.88 |
| Big Bass Bonanza, 96.71% (default) | £6.58 | £13.42 | £4.84 | £3.24 | £16.66 |
| Big Bass Bonanza, 95.67% | £8.66 | £11.34 | £4.78 | £2.71 | £14.05 |
| Big Bass Bonanza, 94.6% | £10.80 | £9.20 | £4.73 | £2.18 | £11.38 |
| Book of Dead, 96.21% (default) | £7.58 | £12.42 | £4.81 | £2.99 | £15.41 |
| Book of Dead, 94.25% | £11.50 | £8.50 | £4.71 | £2.00 | £10.50 |
| Book of Dead, 91.25% | £17.50 | £2.50 | £4.56 | £0.57 | £3.07 |
| Book of Dead, 87.25% | £25.50 | −£5.50 | £4.36 | −£1.20 | −£6.70 |
Between the best and worst Book of Dead versions the same package moves by £22.11, more than the whole offer is worth at 96%. Without wagering, the version costs pennies: 50 spins average £4.81 on the default and £4.36 on the 87.25% version. With 10x it decides whether the package has any value at all. The check takes a minute. Open the game at the casino before using a single spin and read the RTP in its information screen; the pages on Book of Dead spins and Big Bass Bonanza spins go through each version for spins on their own.
Volatility changes the shape of the results rather than their average. On the models built to match each game’s published RTP, volatility class and maximum win, the chance of at least one bonus round in 50 spins is 22.2% for the Book of Dead-like model (high volatility, a bonus round about once in 200 spins) and 24.3% for the Big Bass Bonanza-like model (medium-high, about once in 180), against 25.5% on Model A.
What clearing 35x to 40x costs, plus win caps and minimum withdrawals
What clearing costs at 10x against 30x to 60x
The formula and the simulation agree on direction. On paper the package falls from £14.88 at 10x to −£9.92 at 35x and −£14.88 at 40x; in simulation the match’s finish rate falls from 42.6% to 15.1% and 13.4%, and the spins’ from 12.1% to 4.5% at 35x. Offshore sites commonly set 30x to 60x, and even the bottom of that range sinks the package on paper: at 30x it is £24.80 × (1 − 30 × 0.04) = −£4.96, and at 60x −£34.72. The packages in our ranking ask 35x to 40x, so the 35x and 40x figures are the ones that apply to them. The simulated averages at 35x and 40x stay positive only because a small minority of sessions hit something large.
How much a win cap takes from your spins
Spin offers can carry a cap on what the spins can pay, and no-deposit ones commonly do. On 50 spins at 10p with no wagering, from the same 400,000 Model A sessions, the average kept under each cap was:
| Maximum win on 50 spins | No cap | £100 | £50 | £20 | £10 | £5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Average kept | £4.78 | £4.65 | £4.44 | £4.14 | £3.82 | £3.25 |
| Share of the average removed | – | 3% | 7% | 13% | 20% | 32% |
A cap trims only the results above it. A £100 cap costs 13p of the average; a £5 cap costs £1.53, about a third, because on this many spins a fair share of sessions pass £5. When an offer pairs a modest spin count with a low cap, the cap is the term to read first.
Minimum withdrawals that strand small wins
A £10 minimum withdrawal can strand small wins. Fifty no-wager spins at 10p reached £10 in only 5.9% of simulated sessions on Model A; the typical result, £3.10, cannot leave the account on its own. In a package the deposit and the match usually lift the balance past the minimum, but if the match is lost and only the spin winnings remain, they may sit below it. Read the minimum withdrawal next to the spin value before counting the spins as cash in hand.
Value any slots welcome before you claim it
Two calculators below are preset for the package on this page. The first values the match: enter the deposit, the match percentage, the wagering multiple, whether the multiple counts the bonus alone or your deposit as well, and the RTP from the game’s information screen. The second values the spins: the number, the value per spin, any wagering on the winnings, the RTP and any maximum win. Both report what the offer is worth if every pound of the requirement is staked, the yardstick used throughout this page, plus how long that staking takes at 10p and at £1 a spin when each spin lasts the legal minimum of 2.5 seconds. Add the two results for the whole package, and leave your deposit out. To price a card from the ranking, enter its deposit, match and multiple, and value each batch of spins as its own offer.
UK-licensed slot welcomes: how each group builds its offer
A UK-licensed welcome is the one to choose if the 10x cap, GamStop and a British complaints route matter more to you than the size of the package. Nothing here says that a brand is running a particular offer now; welcome offers change often, and the casinos listed in the ranking are chosen separately. What the facts below give is the shape of each group’s slots welcome, which tells you what to expect before reading any banner.
Casino-first brands inside big groups
Sky Vegas is Flutter Entertainment’s casino-first brand and the one in the group most associated with no-deposit spins; Flutter’s sportsbook-led names, Paddy Power, Betfair and Sky Bet, as a rule attach their casino welcomes to a first deposit or a first stake. 888 Casino, part of evoke (formerly 888), has been online since 1997 and spent a decade advertising no-deposit spins, with 777 Casino and William Hill in the same group. 32Red is Kindred’s casino-first brand, next to the sportsbook-first Unibet. For a slots player the sportsbook-led pattern means a casino welcome arrives with a deposit attached, and since 19 January 2026 it cannot hinge on a sports bet either.
Bingo-and-slots platforms
Jackpotjoy, Virgin Games, Rainbow Riches Casino, Monopoly Casino and Double Bubble Bingo share Bally’s Gamesys platform: bingo and casual-game brands whose welcomes typically read “deposit £10, play with more”, backed by frequent small promotions for existing players. The “play with” figure counts your own money. On a £10 deposit, “play with £20” means a £10 bonus, worth £6.00 at 10x on a 96% slot, and “play with £30” means £20 of bonus, worth £12.00.
Prize-wheel sites
Amazon Slots, Prime Casino and Dream Jackpot, the Jumpman Gaming sites, welcome new players with a first-deposit prize-wheel spin, which means the advertised prize is the top of the wheel, not what a typical spin lands on. A wheel is worth what its likely segments pay, not what its biggest one says; when the terms do not show how often each segment comes up, the headline tells you only the ceiling.
No-wagering specialists
PlayOJO (SkillOnNet) and MrQ (Lindar Media) built their brands on never attaching wagering to a bonus, so whatever spins win is paid out as cash; the trade-off is that they tend to give fewer spins. The simulation shows why that trade can suit a slots player: 50 spins at 10p with no wagering left almost every session with something and a median of £3.10, while the same spins with 10x wagering left 87.9% of sessions with nothing. The guide to 50 no-wager spins works through that kind of offer in detail.
Mobile-first and multi-brand groups
MGM Resorts owns LeoVegas, a group built mobile-first, and BetMGM’s British site has run on LeoVegas’s platform and licence since 2023; Bet UK belongs to the same group. Entain’s Gala Casino, PartyCasino, Ladbrokes and Coral share one account structure, and the group normally allows a single welcome across them, so a slots welcome claimed at one can rule out a second at another.
High-street names and footer checks
Being on British high streets makes Grosvenor Casinos (Rank), Genting Casino, Betfred and Admiral Casino (Novomatic) simple to verify, and brands with shops and venues are slow to vanish. Other licensed sites, Casumo, Videoslots and Mr Vegas among them, show in their footers the company that holds the licence and its Commission account number, which the public register will confirm; the check takes a minute and is worth making on any brand before a deposit.
Published enforcement
Enforcement is published against licence holders, which gives slots players a record to weigh. Among the largest fines or settlements are Entain’s £17m (2022), William Hill’s £19.2m (2023), 888’s £9.4m (2022) and Kindred’s £7.1m (2023). The record exists because the regulator can act, and that is the protection an offshore welcome cannot offer.
Offshore slot welcomes, the ranked packages among them: what British rules stop covering
The packages in our ranking come from offshore-licensed casinos and ask 35x to 40x, so this section describes them as well. Large percentages on slots welcomes, 300% and up, are typically offshore offers, made where wagering of 30x to 60x is common. The operators below are among those that hold no Gambling Commission licence; nothing here describes what any of them is offering on a given day.
- Santeda International B.V. One Curaçao-licensed company behind five brands: Mystake, Goldenbet, Rolletto, Donbet and Velobet. They are not on the UK register, not connected to GamStop and take cryptocurrency; nothing caps their wagering, and the Commission cannot act on a complaint about them.
- Kinghills and NineWin. Sister sites run by Curaçao-registered companies, recently launched, with no public track record, and advertised to British players on “not on GamStop” pages.
- Rainbet. A crypto-first casino licensed in Anjouan (Comoros) and run by RBGAMING N.V.; it accepts Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, a payment method that licensed UK casinos do not offer.
- Roobet and Gamdom. Curaçao-licensed crypto casinos with roots in the market for gaming skins. A British player there has neither a regulator nor an ombudsman to turn to, and a crypto deposit carries no bank protection.
An operator commits an offence by serving British customers without a Commission licence; the customer commits none, but loses every protection the licence would have given. For someone clearing a slots bonus, the losses are specific. The £5 and £2 stake limits do not apply, so a large bonus balance can be staked faster than a licensed site would allow. The 2.5-second minimum spin and the autoplay ban do not bind the site either. There is no 10x cap, no GamStop, no deposit-limit prompt and no UK body to hear a dispute.
The simulation shows what the offshore multiples do to the package itself: at 40x the £20 match finished 13.4% of the time against 42.6% at 10x, and the spins’ winnings at 35x finished 4.5% of the time. Offshore no-deposit “free chips”, which usually cap withdrawals at £100 or less, fare no better: a £50 chip at 60x, played at £1 a spin, finished 3.7% of the time and averaged £3.62 after the cap.
The small print, clause by clause: what each term does to your package
The clauses below were written for this page as an illustration; they are not any casino’s real terms. Together they describe a package like the one valued above, and the right-hand column shows what each one does to it:
| Illustrative clause | What it does to £20 + 100% + 50 spins |
|---|---|
| 1. “100% match on your first deposit up to £50. Minimum deposit £10.” | The bonus equals the deposit until it reaches £50. On £20, B is £20; paying in £80 would still bring only £50. |
| 2. “Plus 50 free spins at 10p on the named slot, credited after the qualifying deposit.” | £5 of play worth £4.80 on average on a 96% version, and less on a lower one; the spins cannot be moved to another game. |
| 3. “Bonus funds and free spin winnings must be wagered 10 times before withdrawal.” | £200 for the match and about £48 for the spins: £9.92 of expected cost, leaving £14.88. |
| 4. “Slots contribute 100% unless listed as excluded. Table and live games contribute 10%.” | Clear on a 100% slot. At 10%, the £200 becomes £2,000 of stakes and the match turns sharply negative. |
| 5. “Maximum bet while bonus funds are active: £2 per spin.” | Binds even for players aged 25 and over, whose legal limit is £5. Clearing £200 takes at least 100 spins, 4 min 10 s. |
| 6. “Free spins expire 48 hours after crediting. Bonus funds expire after 30 days.” | Fifty spins take just over 2 minutes to play, so the 48 hours is ample if you remember; unused spins simply vanish. |
| 7. “Maximum win from free spins: £100.” | Trims 13p from the £4.78 simulated average on Model A, and matters only on the rare large result. |
| 8. “A withdrawal before the requirement is met forfeits the bonus and any winnings from it.” | Tells you whether the match is sticky. Check whether your own deposit is played first and can leave on its own. |
| 9. “One welcome offer per person, household, payment method and group.” | A second sign-up at a sister brand in the same group is not a second welcome. |
Clauses 3, 4 and 5 shape the value and the time; clause 2, read with the RTP in the game’s information screen, decides how much the spins are worth; clause 8 decides how much of your own money is tied up while you play. A package is only as good as its weakest clause, so read all of them before the headline.
How to claim a slots welcome, step by step
At a UK-licensed casino the sequence below is set by the rules, so it is the same at every licensed brand. At the offshore casinos in our ranking no British rule requires it, but the same order still protects your money, and a package spread over several deposits means repeating steps 4 to 6 for each one you choose to make:
- Confirm the licence. The footer should name the licence holder and its Gambling Commission account number, which you can look up on the public register. On our ranking’s cards the licence line shows an offshore regulator instead.
- Register and verify. Your age and identity are checked before you can play anything, a rule since 7 May 2019 that covers demo games and spins as well as cash play. The free-to-play side of that rule is explained on the page about free slots with no deposit.
- Choose a deposit limit. Since 31 October 2025 a licensed site must ask you for a limit before your first payment; setting one leaves the welcome offer untouched.
- Opt in and pay with a debit card. Gambling on credit cards has been banned since 14 April 2020, and licensed casinos do not provide a cryptocurrency option. Pay in the amount you planned, not the most the match will cover.
- Open the named slot and read its RTP. Do it before the first spin, so you know which row of the version table applies.
- Use the spins, then clear the match. Play the spins before they expire, then clear the bonus on games that count 100%, within the bonus maximum bet and your legal stake limit.
- Cash out. When the requirement is complete, look up the minimum withdrawal and the cap on spin winnings, then ask for the money to go back to the same debit card.
Warning signs on a slots welcome
- Wagering above 10x. Not allowed at licensed casinos since 19 January 2026, so 35x or 40x on a slots bonus means an offshore site, such as those in our ranking, or an out-of-date page.
- Spins that require a sports bet. “Bet £10 on football, get 50 spins” combines two kinds of gambling in one promotion, which licensed operators may no longer offer.
- No named slot or no RTP to check. Spins on “selected games” without a name leave you unable to tell which version, or which value, you are getting.
- A maximum bet you cannot find. If the terms bury the limit and void winnings for breaking it, one oversized spin can undo a finished requirement.
- Payment by credit card or crypto. A licensed casino must refuse credit cards and, in practice, offers no crypto.
- Spins playable before any ID check. Verification comes first at licensed sites, even for demo games.
- Autoplay or turbo spins. Licensed online slots have had neither autoplay nor spins under 2.5 seconds since 31 October 2021.
- “100% bonus, no deposit needed”. A match of nothing is nothing; the phrase is either careless or a lure.
Slots welcome against other offers: which pays more
The table below applies the same 96% benchmark and 10x cap to the offers a slots player is most likely to weigh against a match-and-spins package. For the games behind these offers, the top 20 slots UK list sets out the published RTP versions and top prizes of twenty titles.
| Offer | Deposit needed | Value, no wagering | Value at 10x | What the simulation adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| £20 + 100% match + 50 spins at 10p (this page) | £20 | Not applicable | £14.88 | 42.6% finish the match; 32.2% end above £20 |
| 100% match on £20, no spins | £20 | Not applicable | £12.00 | Same match row: median £0 |
| 50 spins at 10p | Usually | £4.80 | £2.88 | No wagering: median £3.10; at 10x: median £0 |
| 20 spins at 10p, no deposit | No | £1.92 | £1.15 | Model A: 2.0% reach £10 or more |
| 150 spins on Book of Dead, 96.21% | Usually | £14.43 | £8.96 | Book of Dead-like Model B: 45.6% reach £10 or more |
| Demo slots | No | £0.00 | £0.00 | Practice only; no prizes |
| £10 bingo bonus | £10 | £9.00 if spent once at an illustrative 90% payback | £0.00 at 90% | Not simulated; value swings with the payback rate |
Three conclusions follow. The match is where the money is: on its own it carries £12.00 of the package’s £14.88, so a deposit offer without spins can still be the stronger choice. Spins without wagering are the most reliable value per pound of play, which is why a spins-only offer can beat a larger wagered one for a cautious player. And a large spin count on a named game, such as 150 spins on Book of Dead, can match a deposit package for average value only when no wagering applies; at 10x on the default version it falls to £8.96, below the match alone. For practice without money, demo play comes with no prizes at all; for bingo players, the bingo welcome offers work on a payback rate that is not fixed the way a slot’s RTP is.
Clearing a slots bonus without overspending
A slots welcome is cleared one spin at a time, often thousands of them: 2,000 at 10p for the £200 match. The rules that make that safer at a licensed casino are worth using deliberately:
- Set the deposit limit when prompted and treat the first deposit as spent the moment you opt in to a sticky match. In the simulation it was lost in 57.4% of sessions even at 10x.
- Pick your stake before you start. The legal ceilings, £5 a spin from 25 and £2 from 18 to 24, are limits, not targets, and small stakes made the requirement more likely to be finished.
- Take breaks and use time-outs. Without autoplay, and with every spin lasting at least 2.5 seconds, the requirement takes real time; nearly an hour and a half at 10p is a long session.
- Stop when the bonus ends. Depositing again to win back a lost welcome balance is chasing losses, and it is not part of the offer.
- Use GamStop if you need it. One registration excludes you from every UK-licensed online casino, slots welcomes included. The casinos in our ranking sit outside it, so a GamStop registration is a reason to skip their packages as well.

How we worked out the numbers
Two methods sit behind this page, and each figure says which one it comes from.
Each part of an offer is valued with E = B × (1 − W × (1 − RTP)), as though every pound of its requirement were staked, with the deposit left out of B; spin values use spins × spin value × RTP. The benchmark RTP is 96%, and the version table uses each game’s published RTP figures instead.
The simulations run on Model A, a medium-volatility model slot at 96% RTP with a hit rate of 27.9%, one bonus round per 170 spins on average and a 2,500x maximum. Each match row is 20,000 sessions at 20p a spin; there are 400,000 spin sessions without wagering (the same sessions supply the cap figures), and 100,000 per row with the winnings wagered. The bonus-round chances quoted for the Book of Dead-like and Big Bass Bonanza-like models come from models built to match each game’s published RTP, volatility class and maximum win.
The limits are real. Model slots are not the games’ pay tables, which are not published. The match and the spins were simulated as separate balances, and the 50% chance of both ending with nothing assumes they run independently. Every simulated player keeps one stake throughout, respects the maximum bet, has unlimited time and never quits early by choice, and caps on deposit bonuses were not modelled. The ranking at the top of the page follows the criteria in how we evaluate and rank offers, not these simulations.
Frequently asked questions
Which slots sign up bonus is the best value?
Compare the packages in our ranking on wagering first. They start at £20 or €20, spread 150 to 500 free spins over several deposits and ask 35x to 40x, so the lowest multiple, spins with light or no wagering and a maximum bet that lets you play small are what to look for. Because each 1x of wagering takes about 4% of the bonus on a 96% slot, at 35x a match costs more to clear than it is worth on paper, while at a UK-licensed casino the 10x cap leaves a £20 match worth about £12.00. All four ranked casinos are licensed offshore.
What is a slots sign up bonus?
A welcome offer for new customers that is played on slots: usually a deposit match with free spins on a named slot, sometimes spins alone. At a UK-licensed casino the wagering on it is limited to ten times the bonus, a cap in force since 19 January 2026.
What is a £20 deposit with a 100% match and 50 free spins worth?
About £14.88 if both parts are wagered 10 times on a 96% slot: £12.00 from the £20 match and £2.88 from the spins. With no wagering on the spins it is £16.80. Your own £20 is not part of the value, because it was yours before the offer. The play-through behind it is £200 for the match and about £48 for the spins.
How many players finish the wagering on a slots welcome bonus?
Across 20,000 simulated sessions on Model A, a 96% RTP model slot, 42.6% finished 10x wagering on a £20 match played at 20p a spin; the rest lost the £40 balance first, and 32.2% ended above the £20 deposit. At 35x, a multiple seen before the 2026 cap, only 15.1% finished.
Do all slots count 100% towards wagering?
Usually, but terms can exclude named slots or count some games at a fraction. A game counted at 50% doubles the stakes needed, and below 40% a 10x match on £20 is worth less than its play-through costs on a 96% game. At 20%, the £200 requirement needs £1,000 of stakes, close to seven hours at 10p a spin.
How long does it take to clear £200 of bonus wagering on slots?
At 10p a spin it takes 2,000 spins, about 1 hour 23 minutes, since a UK-licensed slot cannot spin faster than once every 2.5 seconds. At £2 a spin it takes 100 spins and 4 minutes 10 seconds, and at £5 just 40 spins.
What is the maximum bet while a slots bonus is active?
Whichever is lower of the legal slot limit (£5 a spin at 25 and over, £2 a spin from 18 to 24) and any maximum bet in the bonus terms. Going over a bonus maximum can cost the bonus and what it has won. Free spins are unaffected, because the casino fixes their stake, usually at 10p.
Does the RTP version of the slot change what my bonus is worth?
Yes, and with wagering it changes it a lot. The £20 match with 50 spins is worth about £15.41 at 10x on the default 96.21% version of Book of Dead but −£6.70 on the 87.25% version, so read the RTP in the game’s information screen first.
Are no-wagering spins better than a match with wagering?
Per pound of play, usually. Fifty 10p spins with no wagering average £4.80, and in simulation they almost always left something, with a median of £3.10; with 10x wagering they are worth £2.88 on paper and most sessions ended with nothing. A match still carries more in total: £12.00 on £20 at 10x.
Are bigger slots bonuses at offshore casinos worth more?
Not on the numbers. At the 35x to 40x wagering common offshore, the ranked casinos included, the same package is worth −£9.92 to −£14.88 on paper, and in simulation the £20 match was finished by 13.4% to 15.1% of sessions instead of 42.6%. Offshore sites also sit outside GamStop, the stake limits and UK complaints routes.
